National Moneysavers doing a survey, which makes a change from phoning up and just going "hello hello hello hello" or making silly noises down the phone. And these people actually get paid to do this ...

Keeps on ringing and then hanging up when I answer. A real pain in the butt. Some of you guys in Sheffield could go and deal with this moron!!!

i am fed up with recceiving calls from this number It seems there is little done about complaints. But something should be done and complaints taken seriously and a way to stop them found.

05/11/12 so far today had 2 calls in 2 hours ignored both to busy to answer dispite being on TPS "IS IT WORTH IT" ?

Just sick of unsolicited calls, I'm a member of TPS, but these rogue firms just ignore the TPS rules.

Just received a call from this number but I didn't answer it. I, too, am registered with the TPS and yet these companies are consistently ignoring the regulations and calling me, also no doubt selling on my details, which is also illegal. And to "David" who said that the TPS is opt-in and that companies don't have to adhere to it, that is utter baulderdash. Any companies wishing to make unsolicited calls absolutely MUST check the TPS to see whether the number(s) they are planning on calling is/are registered. If they ignore this legal requirement then they are committing a criminal offence and are liable for prosecution. With all such calls I recommend reporting them not only to the TPS but also the ICO

Telemarketing call with my opinion wanted plus usual prize draw. I asked where they got the number as I am with TPS. The caller Dean from Moneysaver or similar said it was not a sales call and put the phone down on me.

Got a call from these jokers despite being on TPS and ex directory. Have notified police. Office of communications services aren't worth talking to as they say they can only deal with calls actually trying to sell you stuff (another bunch of useless public sector jobsworths). perhaps if everyone who has a complaint about these guys rang BT and threatened to switch to another provider unless they were stopped we might get something done. I think I'm going to write to my MP about this

This number has phoned me three times in two days. We're on TPS. When I try to phone back, I get a noise like a fax machine, and the operator saying "Sorry, you have dialled incorrectly".

Once again no one speaks when I answer I now leave for a while inform them it's their call and then hang up.

This number called despite being on the TPS list. When I picked up the phone there was just a long silence. When I tried to call back, BT said the number was not recognised. Suspect the number is operating a line checker and now it has registered our number as 'live' that we will be subject to more calls. Not impressed.

This number calls numerous times a day - I don't answer my 'phone any more until I check 1471. I am really fed up of it - how can I stop them calling me (they never leave a message and I have never called them back). I have been registered with the TPS for years.

I have received several calls to our ex directory number from this phone. All put the phone down without talking. Ringing the number suggest that number is out of service !!

Im ex-directory, and keep getting `cold-callers` from this number. when I answer, it just hangs-up on me.

I'm ex-directory and long registered with the TPS. I got a call from this number today. Michelle was sorry to bother me but wanted a few minutes for a yes/no survey, with the promise of a prize draw for £250 M&S vouchers. Did I have a few minutes? Yes, but not for targeted marketing. She said she wasn't selling anything, but I don't remember if she commented on the marketing. First question: name? I told her my real name. Silly. (Must remember to offer a fictional name if it happens again.) Can she ask what year I was born? No. Age range? No. Absolutely no personal, intrusive questions. We agreed, amicably, to end the call there. Michelle was charming and courteous. I wonder if they'll call again! I have caller ID and probably won't answer if they do.

Cold calling didn't recognise the humber so left the answering machine get it, as reported by others no message was left. I am ex-driectory and tps registered, but something for others to note: tps is OPT IN for companies, they do not have to adhere to it ...

when i asked this company what they wanted to do with the info they gained from me they basically told me the forward it on to other companys (for payment i bet ) dont be fooled by the promise of m&s vouchers tell them to get stuffed !!!

I let it ring as I didn't recognise it-only rang about 3 times-when I rang back it rings once then goes virtually silent-sounds like an automated service-muffled sound in the background.

I long work long hours for NHS, Ive been on nights this week, today whilst trying to sleep i have had 14 yes 14 calls from this number! The answer machine takes my calls for me but nobody ever speaks. I given up trying to sleep now got up and tried to ring the number back and there is nobody on the end to take my call.....Grrrrrrrr PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE.....

As I am tps registered I turned the table on this caller and asked them questions about themselves - they soon hung up and haven't called again. They did say that they were in Switzerland - obviously not realising that I have caller display!! :-)

Yesterday23/02/11 this number rang 5 times but my answerphone was on all day although I was in. That evening I rang their number preceded by 141 but there was no answer.

Received a call from this number. Getting sick of these calls when we are supposed to be ex directory. Frustrating

they are ringing daily and asking for a Miss Newport. They agreed to stop ringing but have rung again

They've been calling every hour - pick up phone, no one there. When eventually there was a person there, I asked them why they did this and they hung up. Ill mannered slobs!

I have had several calls from this number, there is always a short pause before anyone speaks, when this happens I simply place the phone next to the radio and put radio 4 on, they then think the are talking to someone. It takes a while for them to realise something is wrong, the calls stop as they think its a radio station.

Made by someone claiming to be "on behalf of MoneySavers" - " just a quick call - we are doing a survey " and I cut them off at that point.

Had 3 or 4 calls from this number yesterday and 1 this morning. Now I know what it is I will ignore it. The Caller Display function on a phone is invaluable, everyone should get one.

This number has called me more times than I care to remember and I am also TPS. I thought TPS was supposed to stop it!! Complaint time.

As per several other complaints - it calls you, has a 3 second silence then hangs up! We get more and more of these sort of calls now, very, very annoying !
