i received a text message saying -please help us to help you by calling 01244672024 i don,t know this number
Sorry about the jumbled mess below. The website software stripped out very important carriage returns which would have created a more orderly and readable posting!
Four of the five listed complainants requested information about the source of emails and text messages demanding that the recipient calls 01244672024. "Optima" [Lynne's posting] are probably Optima Legal Services. Optima Legal Services have offices in Bradford and Newcastle, but finding a Chester office was not easy. [01244672024 is a Chester number] A Google search yielded "about 386 English pages for 'Optima Legal Services'+'chester' with Safesearch on"! Too many to list here! One of these search results reads: cslade Vs MBNA and Optima Legal - Penalty Charges Forum 10 posts - 4 authors Head Office: MBNA Europe Bank Ltd, Stansfield House, Chester Business Park ... This morning I received a letter from Optima Legal threatening me with a charging order. ..... I have just received a text, saying "Hi, give me a call on 01244672024, it is important that I speak to you today". With no name in the message, and the number not being one that I recognise, I assumed it is some kind of a scam. So the first thing I did was a search, which found your website. Sending these messages must be a clear breach of the terms of the account contract. As they are clearly aimed at obtaining money, even if it's through the cost of the return call, I think that OFCOM should take severe action.
