This is the number called from (as shown on my mobile screen), but the publication it was allegedly about has a different number: the number that was on an email from caller - which did not carry any company identifiers. Googling the address of the email did not bring meaningful results to identify the company and the publication that this was allegedly about did not come up in a google search either - Midland Focus My opinion is that the sales techniques were based on personal experience; unfocused with regards to what was being asked initially - I had to specifically ask and probe; overly enthusiastic; didn't allow for my position (alternative close) and the whole requirement was for copy and everything to be completed in 24 hours (allowing for printing etc, given that circulation was 48 hours from time of call. Additionally, there is a national awareness week set aside for the subject, which is week after next. To publish a major article the week before would be very poor timing from people who claim to know about the subject. When I queried this, I was told I could have a free entry the following week as well. Even if this is a genuine sales pitch, it was hard sell in that it did not give time for consideration, let alone to decline.
