Had a call yesterday from "Data Protection Agency" claiming that as I had been receiving a high number of scam charity advertising calls to advertsise my business and would I like to have my details removed? thought great! as fed up of bogus calls from these companies - we get so many and now they claim we have outstanding invoices to adverts never ordered or seen! - He then asked if I would like my number removing for 1 or 2 years or permanent - which I thought was a bit random - then alarm bells rang - when he'd called he asked for me by my first name - so I said you called me Sarah? isn't that a bit personal? no he said that's what your listed as. So I asked what my Surname was - he said he couldn't give me that info! so I asked if I could get the person who deals with these calls to ring back. He gave me the number above and a name of Mr Kellar, said bye and put the phone down - Rang BT Business immediately and actually found out I was registered for TPS (never knew this!!) and that I shouldn't get these calls so just put the phone down - anyway number WAS a scam. So have told staff and Hubby to scream whatever obsenities (I usually do not condone this!) they feel at the time and put the phone down!!
