Robert John Archer (aka Bob Archer). This man took a £600 deposit from us to move into Top Flat, 8 Bedford Road, Torquay, TQ1 3LJ in May of 2009 We rented this 2 Bedroom Flat for about 18 Months, then he gave us two months notice to move out (by Mar 07 2011) When we met him to return the Keys and collect our deposit, he did not give us our deposit back and said he had payed it into the DPS deposit protection service www.dps.co.uk. After looking into this further we have discovered that he had not payed our deposit to the DPS and that we was meant to receive an ID number from them and never did! It has now been over two weeks and we still do not have our deposit back. We believe this man has ripped us off for our deposit of £600, so please do not deal with him in any way shape or form.
