  • David F - 2-6-2011 6:37:07PM

I wish this number would stop ringing. Its doing my head in. Why do they continue to make calls even when you've told them you're not at all interested. I thought they were supposed to stop by law when told to do so.

I have had calls from this number a number of times. It is Barclays so I called the number which was mentioned on this forum to stop them today and I am hoping they will now stop!

This number has been ringing me everyday since 25th of November and has gotten worse today he has rang my phone 3 times and it's starting to really get on my nerves. I made a dad answer once because I was scared to answer after reading this and whoever it is just hung up but hasn't stopped ringing! I wish this person would stop!

Called this afternoon from this number. Hung up as soon as I said 'hello'. I assume they wanted a woman to answer. Won't answer next time.

guy claiming to be barclays - didn't sound very professional to me. i do have an account with barclays but when i opened it i stipulated in writing not to receive marketing calls. (and never have until now.) if this number rings you, i suggest you go into your local branch and check with them whether it was legit. if it is, it's a poor tactic. if it's not, i'm sure barclays would want to know they are being impersonated and customer details used.

So you answer your phone only to hear total silence, dial 1471 and hey presto it's the wretched number. These people should be prosecuted for harrassment, who is the bold politician who will put a stop to it?

  • lovejoy - 4-12-2008 8:01:20PM

It is Barclays Bank telesales. You can phone 0800 083 1856 and ask them not to call you.

  • Carole - 31-10-2008 1:31:18PM

I get calls from these people all the time. It's always the same phone number. I dont really know what to do beyond reporting them to the government.

  • 11-4-2008 4:44:40AM

  • Jason Stevens - 28-3-2008 7:34:40AM

I get calls from these guys all the time. The most annoying part is they actually leave a message that just has a bunch of noise and uses up my voicemail minutes.
