dozens of calls at all times of the day and evening....both to my landline AND mobile.... harassment is an understatement

  • Shirl - 6-1-2011 8:39:53PM

Come home to have 4 messages a day from this number even being TPS registered. Called it back to hear you were called by MDNA Bank Europe. Went to www.mdna.co.uk and submitted a complaint to them. Then I downloaded the MS Word doc on the Information Commissioner's office website & submitted a complaint to them too. Here's the link: http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints/privacy_and_electronic_communications.aspx Will also be reporting them to Number Cop (http://www.numbercop.com/search.php?country=GB&number=8003890043)

  • kia - 18-11-2008 1:09:38PM

I just put the phone number into a search engine and the first hit was this site. Well I don't have any Credit cards from MBNA. I just kept receiving annoying calls morning, noon and night. I'm glad to establish I'm not the only one getting harassed by these people (non offence). As I wouldn't have found through this website The Telephone Preference Service (TPS). TPS is a central opt out register whereby individuals can register their wish not to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls. It is a legal requirement that companies do not make such calls to numbers registered on the TPS. I just register and hopefully within 28 days I won't be receiving ANY calls from ANY marketing or sales people. TRY IT, ITS FREE! www.tpsonline.org.uk/ctps/number_type.html

Calls at all times of the day and night - nobody ever at the other end of the line.

  • Chantal Kahn - 2-11-2008 7:51:16PM

Like everyone I keep getting calls from this number on my mobile. I've had an MBNA credit card for over 7 years now but it's only been in the last 4-6 weeks that I've been receiving these 'missed' calls. Any suggestions as to how to block these calls or how to get MBNA to stop?

  • Steve in London - 21-10-2008 12:00:06PM

I'm getting called just about every day from this number, even over the weekend. someone on this page says it's MBNA. That makes sense, as I have a credit card with them. Ever since I paid my whole bill off, they're hell bent on giving me more credit (e.g. "have some cheques", "pay off another card"), it's endless. And, of course, they don't leave a message.

  • MATTHEW HAZELDEN - 13-10-2008 1:10:52PM

Endlessly ringing all hours of the day for 3 months now, even when on holiday in Spain. I'm not answering it based on info on this site. Thanks to everyone involved.

  • Nige Pearson - 8-10-2008 10:51:41AM

Rang me on my mobile this morning and then hung up

  • Lyndsay - 24-9-2008 12:31:05PM

Keep ringing 2/3 times a day on my mobile - has been going on for just over a week now. I did begin answering it but there was never anybody there so I now just reject the call. I'm hoping they'll give up soon.

  • Jeffrey - 20-9-2008 9:37:49AM

MBNA. They just called me. Indian call centre guy trying to sell me a secured consolidation loan. So I asked him, his name, his age, whether he was married or with a partner, how many kids he has, what car he's got, where he was born, whether his parent were divorced... and he rang off. I don't think he is going to call back :-)

I got a call from this number a couple days ago. The man on the other end claimed his name was "John". I asked if he knew I was on the government list and he said no because he was calling so I must not be.
