5 complaints - Freephone Numbers
19 January am. We received a phone call from a man calling himself Adam Walker. He had a sub-continent Asian accent. He was persistent to the point of rudeness and claimed to come from Birmingham and to be from a 'traffic department'. He got short shrift from us
repeated and persistent calls from this number. They start by asking if you've had an accident in the last 3 years. Stupidly I said yes (who hasn't!) they then start asking for a huge amount of personal date so they can "verify their database". They claim to be from the accident helpline. I refused to give any info and have had 5 or 6 calls a day since.
The caller told me that she was ringing from 'Accident helpline' in connection with a claim from my address. I told her that I had no knowledge of what she was talking about and would be refusing to divulge any personal information or discuss the matter further.
repeated calls from this number saying they are nhs and there has been an accident to me (?) they gave this number to call back and it said extXXXX is not valid
I was told this is the Road Traffic Accident Bureau which has details of me having an accident in the last couple of years. When I ring it, I get a message saying that extension 7507803 is not valid and it hangs up.
