Same as others - automated junk call, this to my mobile phone. It followed my getting a text message from a standard 07 mobile number at end of last week - which I called back to get no answer. That same mobile now gets "number is not recognised"... me thinks that phoning back was a big error, that perhaps they did not have lists of numbers, but relied upon people calling or texting replies to a list automarketed for them by other crooks. Just as much email marketing is done by list holders, and only the positive responses arrive with the marketed company, as the data list is in itself valuable property (if it is opt-in!) Well, OFCOM.org.uk provide excel spreadsheets showing to whom they originally allocated numbers to... be they 0800, 0845, 070, 090, etc. etc. I could not find them today (always found their site conscientiously unintuitive) so called them. The woman answering was very pointed in noting that their records only relate to original allocations from 1999 - but the big telecoms companies are long lived, and usually disappear through being purchased (at least their number allocation is purchased and OFCOM know who purchases that allocation) so this is a good route to finding who to complain to, even if you have to follow a trail several layers deep from original allocation through resale/leasing etc. This number was allocated to: Resource Utilities Ltd http://www.resource-utilities.com/contact_us.aspx I put in a complaint on their web form - perhaps others would like to call them and interrupt them somewhat more about this matter?

Why oh why don't these people get the picture when we don't answer their calls even if its an recorded message. My advice is to keep pressing the hash (#) key when you answer the call. This will delete your number off their list so that they will not be able to call you in the future.

I too just had the same call. If the authorities THREW THE BOOK at these illegal ********* then they wouldn't have the money to set up further operations and it would send the message to other pratts to STOP BREAKING THE SODDING LAW, YOU ARROGANT, INTRUSIVE, PATHETIC LITTLE WASTES OF SKIN

This number has been calling a couple of people in our office during work hours with the automated "Public service announcement" message that other people are reporting. Extremely frustrating. They should be banned and fined.

Got a call the other day, I'm registered with TPS. Either the insurance company or the mobile operators give these numbers away, I'm sure odp
