several silent calls from this number

Same complaint - first call within minutes of registering with Compare the Market and numerous subsequently.

I will never use compare the market again. After having gone on their website to look at both home insurance and car insurance I have had a flood of calls and emails from this company. I don't mind the emails, but the calls I do not want. The reason I went online to do my insurance is so that I don't have to have endless phone conversations. They actually phoned me as soon as I had entered my phone number into one of the on line forms I had filled in. I still had their website on my screen and the guy at the other end knew this. I find that a bit wierd and unnerving. I clicked off, hung up and made my mind up to go directly to insurers sites. CTM.com still keep ringing though.

The number is for a company called LEADX (go to their website and it'll tell you what they do) its nothing suspicious. Ring their office, ask them to suppress your details ie. remove you from their Database. The lady who answered the phone was very polite and said she would do this immediately, however I STILL got another call from them 15 minutes later. Ho hum. She assured me they do help lots of people though...but they wont be helping me, I'm off to my Insurance Broker as a result! Have received several 'silent' calls from this number over the last few days. I have found it quite unsettling. A bit of 'googling' indicated that the number is associated with Comparethemarket. I used their website, as well as a couple of others over the weekend looking for home insurance quotes. This kind of activity should be stopped.

Keeps ringing me but no-one there. It's sooooo annoying. I shall keep leaving the line open so they at least have to pay.

We recieved a phone call from this no, no one there and it went dead after 30 secs. 5 mins later they called again, Compare the market. My wife asked to speak to a supervisor but the lady on the other end was still trying to sell her their car insurance. My wife managed stopped her mid sentence and told her she wasn't interseted. She said that she would not buy from a company that makes ghost phone calls.

I used comparethemarket.com at aprox 11:00 and just now got a phone call from this number. More to waste time hanging up on eh :(

WHAT A PAIN, AFTER USING GOCOMPARE CAR INSURANCE SITE MOBILE HAS RUNG MANY TIMES. CERTAINLY PUTS YOU OFF USING THESE COMPARISON SITES!!

Just got called by this number. I have not used CTM.com, but did get a mortgage quote from findaproperty.com who probably use CTM.com to do the searchign for them.

It's either moneysupermarket.com or confused.com.Similar story to everyone else.Went to check on the best car insurance rates for this year and hey presto unsolicted calls.What business do these idiots think they are going to get this way?

Yep, same for me. After I used Go Compare started receiving calls- have had about 8 over the past few days. I never answer if I do not know the number as anyone important will leave a message. Why don't they understand that they are driving business away by this bombardment rather then creating good customer relations.

Wow - what a coincidence. About 10 mins ago I went on comparethemarket.com to get a car insurance quote and 0845 685 1223 just rang me. what a pain.

This number keeps ringing me! I haven't bothered answering as I didn't recognise it, but now realise that it's ever since I went on the Compare the Market.com website.

Called for the fourth time today and seriousle fed up now. Thinking of complaining to watchdog.

Two days running called back unsolicited from comparethemarket.com Asking me all my details again etc and wasting my time. I will never use comparethemarket.com again. Real pain, and pushy!
