Like many on this site, someone called my elderly parents claiming to have received notificication of an error on the PC at this address. Fortunately I was there to take the call and was very suspicious. The implication was that they were Microsoft Window's official technical support organistion called Advanced Support and were suggesting they talk me through a procedure which I assume would permit them to gain remote access of the computer. They gave the web address of: www.techonsupport.com. When I called the no. advertised on the website and complained about the misleading unsolicited nature of their call they hung up on me. Please spread the word so that people are aware and don't inadvertently get taken in.
