This is not a bogus number, it is the overseas exchange (outgoing calls only) number for various shared UK Government offices in London including the MOD and FCO. If they're calling you it's for a reason.

Received 5 missed calls from this number to me on my locally registered phone here in Brunei. Worrying because my family are back in the UK. Now I find it is a bogus number. Why do people do this?!! Thank you phonespamfilter for putting my mind at rest.

I received a missed call but had a message waiting that was for me, I believe it is a gateway from an HM Forces telephone network so it only calls out. If you have no connection to them then it was probably an error in the phone system or a wrong number.

Unable to take call tried to return, got number not recognised and it's an Oman mobile. How they got the number I couldn't say.

They phoned me this morning in Denmark, to my Danish mobile. Did not recognise the number, but my mother has just died so thought it was to do with that, tried to ring back, just got "number unobtainable" tone. I tried to look up the number via the internet and saw your website. Thank you for letting me know it was a bogus call, and I'm annoyed that they are pestering people!

Two unsolicited calls to a Swiss mobile set up 2 weeks ago - reasons unknown. The number did not accept return calls.

I have no idea how they got hold of my Dutch number but pulled the scam on an international line too!!
