16 complaints - London
I received a call from this number on my Irish mobile this week.
GFKNOP phoned me at 19:58 on Friday, 11 July 2014. It was an unsolicited call. I am registered with TPS. The woman started talking, asking my opinion of the 'economy', no mention of whether UK or worldwide. When I said I did not want to answer about the 'economy', her voice kept on, above what I was saying, so I assume it was a recorded message. This was a total nuisance, where I was expecting a personal call about the health of a member of my family.
Rang today, said the wanted 5 mins to do a survey. Asked how they got my unlisted number, said they wouldn't/couldn't say. The only people I have given my 'phone number out to in the last 12 months, is a major British car dealer; I'll be having words. Told the lady I was just evacuating my bowels....she put the 'phone down. Have now blocked the number on my "wonder" 'phone purchased from Mapins.
This is a nuisance caller called GFK NOP who promise not to sell on or reveal your personal data to anyone. Well, someone's revealed my data to them and now they keep ringing me and always at very unwelcome hours. Their calls are unwelcome at anytime actually.
Ring evenings and weekends and never leave a message and intrusive questions. Don't be fooled by them!
had over the last days many calls from them, they just don't give up, they say they are calling on behalf of a consumer customer service, when I asked which one, they did not want to say and said that I would have to identify myself first. I told them if you don't tell me for which service this allegedly is, I don't tell you who I am.
Number has been calling for a couple of weeks now. Never leaves a message on answerphone. Finally answered it today, and the caller initially tried to convince me they were the CEO of DfE! It only took a few seconds for them to realise I wasn't buying it. They then changed tact and said they were calling on behalf of the DfE. Took a couple of seconds longer for them to admit that they were in fact a MARKET RESEARCH COMPANY. As this is outside the TPS, I have asked them politely to stop calling, and that if I do receive another call, I will report them to OFCOM and the Police for making nuisance calls. Hope that is the last I hear from them.
THIS NUMBER HAS APPEARED SEVERAL TIMES AS A MISSED CALL ON MY PHONE DURING THE DAY,THEN THEY WERE RINGING AT 8.30PM.REFUSED TO ANSWER AS THE NUMBER WAS UNKOWN TO ME & A MESSAGE WAS NEVER LEFT ON THE ANSWER MACHINE.CALLS CONTINUED SO I FINALLY ANSWERED TONIGHT.THEY ARE A COMPANY CALLED GFK WHO DO SURVEYS.THEY ASKED FOR ME BY NAME & SAID THEY WERE DOING A SURVEY REGARDING HULL COLLEGE.
They rang me today and also I think yesterday. I'm registered with TPS - they said my number had been randomly drawn. How? Not clear who the survey was for, but when they wanted my postcode (which would give them all sorts of info about me) I refused to continue. Why is this allowed?
I have received 2 calls from 00442078909051. I believe that it is a nuisance call and have not answered either of them. I also receive other calls from out of area and witheld, I do not answer these as well.
they started by saying they were doing a survey for abbey customers and the questions would be automated i said i would take part in the survey but suddenly realised its no longer abbey so just hung up and now im glad i did
I am on the TPS, but these people phoned me at 8.30 pm this evening, interruping my evening. I gather they are a market research outfit and therefore do not have to adhere to TPS rules. This should not be allowed! It is still an invasion of privacy.
FYI the company is Gfk NOP
This company called me yesterday evening. They were marketing for telecommunications purposes, conducting a survey taking 4-7 minutes. When I advised that a family member worked for a communications company, they were not able to proceed with the survey.
They keep ringing me in the evenings. I do not want phone calls when I get home from a long day's work. I feel aggrieved at their repeated invasion of my space. It is making me very angry.
They say they're 'not selling anything' and that's why they can call you even if you're registered with TPS. Apparantly they're a telemarketing company.
